Ms. Tatum has been immersed in the dance world nearly her entire life, beginning dance at just two years old and entering the competitive cheer and dance world at age 5. With more than a decade of competitive experience, she has performed on some of the biggest stages in the industry and earned numerous national and regional honors, including a Dance Summit Championship, multiple NDA, UCA, CHEERSPORT, and Groove titles, and top placements at both The Dance Summit and Dance Worlds. Tatum continued her passion for performing at Barton College, where she was a member of both the Cheer and Dance Teams and became a three-time Dance Conference Champion. Throughout her years as an athlete, she developed a strong background in hip hop, pom, acro, jazz, and performance, with a special love for high-energy styles that allow dancers to build confidence and showcase their personalities. Beyond performing, Tatum has always had a heart for teaching and working with children. She began coaching at a young age and has experience mentoring dancers and cheerleaders of all ages, from tiny beginners taking their first steps into the studio to experienced competitive athletes. She strives to make every dancer feel seen, encouraged, and proud of their progress. I’m so excited to be part of the Carolina Dance Productions family and looks forward to sharing her love of dance with her students while helping them grow in their technique, confidence, teamwork, and love for performing.
